Moving in Amsterdam
Moving in Amsterdam
a great choice
How to reach the city :
There are several ways to reach the city center from the Schiphol’s Airport. Of course is up to you and to your budget to choose what’s the best.
The way we recommend is the train, because is the cheapest and effective one.
The yellow trains :
When you out of the Arrival Terminal, you will find out that there are some stairs going to the ground floor where the trains stop are located. There you can take your train to “Amsterdam Centraal” and be in the hearth of the city in about 15 minutes. The price is relatively cheap (3.80 euro) and the connection is pretty fast.
To buy the tickets you can go to any of the automatic yellow / blue machines and use a credit / debit card or, for those that are enabled, use coins.
If you don’t have coins or a credit / debit card, you can buy tickets from the Service Center, but they will charge you 50 cents more for the transaction.
Taxi :
Taxies in Amsterdam are quite expensive, but, if you can afford to spend just 10 times more than a train, they are a good choice. They are extremely fast and will leave directly at your hotel’s door. The price, however, ranges from 25 to 50 euro, depending on the season and the time.
